Their way versus our way

On the left of the featured image is the horror of the West, a brutal inhumane killing by ISIS.

On the right is an image from the Manning release, a horror in the Middle East, a brutal inhumane killing by the U.S..

Our collective sense of revulsion is only piqued when it happens at the hands of our perceived enemies.

The astute reader will realize the image on the right probably fed the MidEast revulsion that led to the image on the left.

In both cases it is innocents who die.

This is not a moment for the American people to take the Pontius Pilate act for the image on the right.

If the ISIS way is so awful then what is ours?

No matter what the reason’s for,
And your flag decal won’t get you
Into Heaven anymore.” – John Prine, Your Flag Decal Won’t Get You Into Heaven Anymore
