Paul goes fishing with Fredo

From The Hill on Saturday evening:

Fox News host Judge Jeanine Pirro, whose show President Trump urged his followers on Twitter to watch earlier in the day, opened her program on Saturday evening by calling on Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) to step down.

“Ryan needs to step down as Speaker of the House. The reason, he failed to deliver the votes on his healthcare bill, the one trumpeted to repeal and replace ObamaCare,” Pirro said in her opening statement.

Never mind of course that even Dr. Frankenstein couldn’t have animated that stone into life.

But back to the original metaphor, you have to love how Jeanine Pirro played Luca Brassi’s necktie to deliver the message that Paul Ryan sleeps with the fishes.

Pirro is correct in identifying Ryan as a lightweight, though. You knew it — if you didn’t know it before — on the evening of the vice-presidential debate in 2012, when Crazy Uncle Joe Biden — of all people — turned Ryan into a glowering, truculent adolescent.

Trump has a problem, all right; he knows nothing about the Congress; he just found out he can’t bully Congress, and his general in the field isn’t William Sherman: he’s George McClellan.

Okay, I admit that I mostly wrote this so I could use the cartoon from Townhall.
