Donald Trump has apparently figured out that he faces some headwinds even in his supine Supreme Court over the legality of the tariffs he arbitrarily and unilaterally imposed. Pity.
Trump ‘truth’ about tariffs
Perhaps he should have thought about this a little harder before he embarked on a program of deep tax cuts for rich people and blowing a bundle on the ICE thugs. But as Trump always says when he gets into trouble: It’s somebody else’s fault.
Update 11/12: Trump wildly overstates the amount of tariffs collected; based on media reports it’s more in the neighborhood of $150 billion. Not nothing, but not nearly the number Trump claims.
