New Fatuous Bastard ™ winners
The Democratic mayoral primary win by Zohran Mamdani has produced an avalanche of supttering Fatuous Bastards™. We’ll award just a couple of them.
Here’s the conservative grifter and transphobe Matt Walsh, quoting the nativist and white nationalist, Stephen Miller.

Stephen Miller and Matt Walsh
In his political newsletter, Campaign Trails, Professor Kevin Kruse observes, about Stephen Miller, especially:
There’s no great[er] proof of the elasticity of the American identity than the fact that the descendants of immigrants who were Irish, or Eastern European Jews, or Cubans – immigrants whose very arrival was decried as a sign of America’s imminent collapse – have wormed their way into the heart of nativist politics to the point that they can blithely pretend that they have belonged here all along and now they get to judge who should and shouldn’t belong.
Their prominence proves that the old attacks on their ancestors were completely wrong, and their new attacks will likewise fade into the dustbin of history too.
The Fatuous Bastard™ aims to recognize and celebrate all the incels and other assorted misfits who were stuffed in lockers in high school and never got over it, the overweening, overcompensating pseudo-intellectual fools who mistake a thesaurus for thought, the basement dwellers whose fingers are as orange as their hero, the . . . well, you get the idea.
Update 6/26: Reader Joe has a similar view of the winners, calling them an “anchor on our species.”
Thanks for your feedback. If we like what you have to say, it may appear in a future post of reader reactions.
