“ICE Barbie” spouts off about Minnesota’s immigrants

From a couple of days ago.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security is taking aim at Minnesota and its Twin Cities, alleging the deliberate obstruction of the enforcement of federal immigration laws, and protecting “dangerous criminal aliens from facing consequences.”

…Minnesota is designated on the list as having “self-identification as a state sanctuary jurisdiction,” naming Minneapolis, St. Paul and 20 counties: Carver, Cottonwood, Goodhue, Hennepin, Le Sueur, Lincoln, Lyon, Martin, Nicollet, Nobles, Otter Tail, Pipestone, Ramsey, Scott, Steele, Todd, Watonwan and Wright counties…

“We are exposing these sanctuary politicians who harbor criminal illegal aliens and defy federal law,” said Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem. “President Trump and I will always put the safety of the American people first. Sanctuary politicians are on notice: comply with federal law.”

Most of those counties went heavily for Trump. They’re also places where farmers in particular worry about losing good, affordable workers.

I’ve explained this before on this blog, but it’s been a while and this is a good place to repeat it. For the most part I define intelligence simply as the ability and willingness to reason from fact. Trump and people like him – Kristi Noem, for one – spend their whole lives just believing what they want to believe, with no regard at all for the facts in front of their faces. Since they never acknowledge facts they’ve developed no ability to reason from them. This makes Donald J. Trump – and, again, those like him – literally as GOD-DAMNED PATHETICALLY STUPID as they make ‘em. And, to be clear, in Trump’s case this was obvious long before Alzheimer’s hit. Which it has.

Certainly the extreme lack of brainpower is far from the only thing Noem has in common with Trump. Both appear to have severe narcissistic and delusional disorders. Both are exceptionally mean-spirited, in large part because it drives them crazy that a great many people don’t take them at their opinions of themselves. Both seem to entirely lack self-awareness, as evidenced by how they constantly make complete and utter fools of themselves without the slightest apparent consciousness of what they’re doing. And both are as completely unqualified for any positions in governance as anyone can possibly be. It’s horrific.

Comment from Joe Musich: Joni Ernst might now be the prize winner of all time with her “everybody dies” response to questions about Medicaid at her town hall. And I guess now she has soiled her diaper further with a satirical apology video. I will not watch it. Ugh.

Thanks for your feedback. If we like what you have to say, it may appear in a future post of reader reactions.
