“Bibi” and the Saudis manipulated Trump into war

Are the US and Iran headed for all-out war? Binyamin Netanyahu is undoubtedly hoping so. With a general election looming this year, the Israeli prime minister certainly believes it is vital to convince Donald Trump that the US should force Iran to cease its nuclear programme entirely and stop developing and deploying ballistic missiles that can reach Israel.

Having confirmed he will seek re-election, achieving these aims would give Netanyahu a much greater chance of presenting himself as a victorious leader, regardless of the suffering inflicted on Palestinians in Gaza and the occupied West Bank.

In private calls over the last several weeks, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) reportedly urged President Trump to attack Iran. Iran is a top regional rival of Saudi Arabia, and MBS had become concerned about Iran’s growing military capabilities.

Many have remarked on how one reason the MAGA base loves Trump is for his proclaimed “America First” ideology that supposedly precludes the U.S. from getting involved in any more foreign wars. And he did hold to that, at least compared to some other recent presidents, during his first term. What happened?

Senile dementia, in all likelihood due to Alzheimer’s disease, that’s what. It has rendered Trump even more vulnerable than he’s always been to the machinations of both foreign dictators and war pigs within his own administration. All they have to do is flatter him and suck up and tell him what he wants to hear and he is, as the saying goes, “putty in their hands.” Exceptionally soft and yielding putty, at that.

Reports were that Kristi Noem was in serious trouble as the “ICE surge” in the Minnesota metro backfired ever more flagrantly. Those reports seem to have ceased after she had a private meeting with Trump. My very strong suspicion is that she went in there showing some cleavage and leg, and favored the old fool who in his own “mind” still regards himself as an irresistible Casanova, with plenty of her prettiest and most flirtatious smiles. From her perspective – though certainly not that of this country – problem solved.

I’m not going to speculate on what kind of horror shows he’ll get talked into as his mental “health” continues to rapidly worsen. It ain’t gonna be pretty.
